The following gardens were open for spring 2011.
Amber Valley Orchard Garden (No. 155), 150 Hawterville Rd, is set in an historic valley with orchards and grazing dating back to the 19th Century.
The valley, just north of the Balingup townsite has plentiful water resources as evidenced by large dams and green gullies even in dryer times.
Nearby is "Hawterville" the site of the Blackwood Nursery which grew fruit trees and roses (amongst many other plants) to supply the South West and Perth markets in the late 19th and early 20th Century. It was sited close to the railway line as this was the main transport route, not the South Western Highway which was built much later.

Jayside (Garden No. 159), Lot 120 Jayes Rd, is a classic cottage garden in the grounds of an old jarrah weatherboard house in town. The property is on the banks of the Balingup Brook on Jaye's Road. The stream eventually joins the Blackwood River.
Roses, shrubs such as Weigela and Port Wine Magnolia and colourful annuals with many of the flowers fragrant create a delightful, not-so-small garden.

Montaza Park (Garden No. 30), 61 Grimwade Rd, showing the arch near the Cottage (right). The Cottage was the original house on the property and has early twentieth century origins. A water tank is in the background and the pink flowers nearby are from a well-established Judas Tree, Cercis siliquastrum.

Jalbrook (137), 1 Jayes Rd, with its parkland like setting on the Balingup Brook is open for the four-day Main Festival.
